Rock Confidential recently caught up with the beautiful, curvaceous Sheridan Love to talk about her adult entertainment experiences – from being a fan of classic blockbuster titles like Jesse Jane’s Pirates to becoming a full-fledged porn star appearing in dozens of scorching hot scenes throughout her eight year career.
It’s great to catch up with you Sheridan! How are things going – what have you been up to?
Not much. Just shooting content for my OnlyFans page.
Let’s start off by finding out what you were like when you were in high school – were you shy, outgoing?
I was kind of a tomboy honestly. I was shy until I got to know someone so my circle of friends was pretty small. Not much has changed now. I am still shy, which is hard to believe since I fuck on film. But it’s true.
When did you first become comfortable with your sexuality?
Not until my late teens and early 20s.
Do you remember the first time you saw porn or any adult material? What was your initial reaction?
I found my dad’s porn magazines when I was younger. But I didn’t watch any porn until I was 19! I know readers aren’t going to believe that, but it is 100% true. I lived in a full house. There was no way I had any privacy to even try. And mobile phones didn’t have the capabilities they do now. Once I started watching porn though I was hooked. I loved it. It gave me some ideas. But more importantly it showed me that it is OK to be into something other than boring, vanilla sex.
I read you made the decision to become a porn star after watching Jesse Jane and Belladonna’s scene in Pirates 2. How did they react when they heard about the impact of that scene on your career choice?
This is a true story. That scene was so hot. It was like watching two animals in heat that had been kept separated, but close enough to still see each other. I have never met Belladonna but I have become friends with Jesse. I told her about that scene being my reason. She laughed and thought it was cool. I highly doubt she remembers this conversation though because we had just met when I told her.

Did you have any misconceptions about the porn industry before you started?
I guess I had the same ones as every other fan out there. Sex and sex parties, crazy amounts of fame and money. Boy are the fans gonna be disappointed when they find out that porn is not like that at all.
Looking back, how do you remember your very first year in Adult?
It was such a whirlwind! I remember I went to AVN as a fan. Next thing ya know I am hanging out with all these porn stars that I watched on film. Meeting directors, photographers and then going to all these after parties. That weekend I did my first photoshoot. Then that summer I went to Miami and LA to shoot my first scenes. That was my first time out of Texas!
Did you have anyone give you advice when you first started? Do you think the adult industry needs more mentors for new talent?
I have to say that I was very fortunate. Before that AVN weekend my only interactions with porn stars and directors were at public appearances or on Twitter. I never thought in a million years that when I met these people in real life they would give me the time of day. I knew that they would think of me as some random fan girl from Texas. I was so mistaken. Girls like Jesse, Teagan Presley and a few other top girls took me under their wing. Photographers like Rick Garcia also helped me to not only learn how to play the camera, but how to avoid the shady people and situations.
It makes me sad when I see girls getting in porn and then just go down a bad path. Sometimes it is self inflicted and sometimes their agents put them in bad situations. So yeah, I definitely wish every newcomer could get as lucky as I did and have that advantage.
If you were to write your ultimate fantasy as a sex scene, how would it go?
It would probably be a dream sequence where I get fucked by a bunch of guys and also several big tit girls with strap-ons. The bed would look like a giant cloud. And there would be heavy metal playing in the background.

What about your career is most appealing?
I like that everything I do is up to me. I am my own boss. I work when I want and get to choose who with. I am naturally a sexual being and porn allows me to be me, but safely, thanks to 14 day testing and the friendships I have made.
What’s been the biggest challenge as you’ve grown your career in Adult?
My biggest challenge I guess is that I would like to see my name out there a little more. But I don’t have an agent or any PR company helping me. Everything I do is thanks to Twitter and the devoted fans who request me to companies.
But there are other things too. Something that really bothers me is how we get treated in porn. By everyone. People love to watch porn. They masturbate to it. They have their favorite stars. And then treat us as if we are not human or undeserving of rights. The government doesn’t even try to protect our movies from pirates even though they try for Hollywood studios. Or if we have a post porn career and employers find out, we get kicked to the curb with no questions asked.
How do you envision your future in Adult? What else would you like to do?
Porn is fun and also a lot of work. When it stops being fun then I will be done. But I love make up and playing dress up so maybe next is a career revolving around that.
What are some of your favorite movies?
My all time favorite is The Labyrinth.
Tell us some of your favorite movie quotes.
Despicable Me when the youngest girl gets a stuffed animal… “It’s So Fluffy!” It makes me giggle every time. I think mostly because I am that girl on the inside.
What music have you been listening to lately?
Greta Van Fleet. I love their sound and how it makes me think of riding in the car with my dad while he listened to The Rolling Stones.
The musician you would most like to meet is…
Jonathon Davis from Korn. I have been fascinated by that man and his voice for as long as I can remember. I have been able to meet a lot of celebrities but he has alluded me. This despite the fact that I have been side stage while Korn was playing!
Who are some of your favorite rock bands?
Korn, Papa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch, Adelita’s Way and Avatar.
What was the last concert you attended? What was your first concert?
The last concert was Five Finger Death Punch with Shinedown and Sixx AM. I think my first concert was KC And The Sunshine Band.
What was the first album you bought with your own money when you were younger?
I think it was No Doubt’s Tragic Kingdom.
What part of your personality gets you into trouble the most?
I am just naturally friendly and a little flirty. Surprisingly it gets me into trouble a lot.
What are some things in your life you are most proud of?
My weight loss. I lost 80 pounds the hard way. No surgery. Just diet, exercise, and a former drill instructor named Trish. Some people are going to scream foul because I had a tummy tuck, but these same people don’t realize you have to lose weight first!
What are you up to next?
Currently nursing a groin injury so pretty much recovering from that. But Exxxotica in Edison, New Jersey is coming at the end of October and I am really looking forward to signing and meeting fans there!
