Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has been on a roll lately. Just a couple of days ago he threw a few jabs at the other Van Halen frontman, Sammy Hagar (you can listen here). Now he has unleashed a tell-all flashback about Eddie Van Halen’s ties to the porn industry.
Roth also goes into detail about a party at Eddie’s mansion that would be known as “The Gathering.” Held September 30, 2006, the insane throwdown was full of porn stars, musicians, trapeze artists, fire breathers, naked girls and live music – including a set from EVH himself.
The party was held to celebrate the DVD release of Michael Ninn’s Sacred Sin, an adult film which Van Halen wrote two original songs for. (“Catherine” and “Rise” – listen below.)
Check out a partial list of some of the adult stars in attendance: Kirsten Price, Kaylani Lei, Jessica Drake, Stormy Daniels, Casey Parker, Jessica Jaymes, Angel Cassidy, Jenna Presley, Sunny Lane, Ashley Steel, Gia Jordan, Rayveness, Tiana Lynn, Faith, Nautica Thorn, Taylor Rain, Nicole Sheridan, Rita Faltoyano, Monica Mayhem, Mia Rose, Jasmine Byrne, Gia Paloma, Sarah Blake, Mika Tan, Roxy DeVille and many more.
Back in July 2006, Eddie told AVN: “I’m working with a friend — very simple. I like his work,” he said. “Michael Ninn is like a Spielberg to me: the imagery, the way he makes things look, just… sensual.
“We hooked up, I ended up doing the music, and it’s some whompin-ass shit. I think it’s the best work he’s ever done, and me too. And more to come.”
At the 24th AVN Awards on January 13, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Paradise, Nevada, Eddie Van Halen won in the “Best Music” category.
Take it away, Diamond Dave.
