Sara Cheek is a social media phenomenon. In 2019 she went viral on TikTok and very quickly accumulated thousands of Instagram followers.
What happened next changed everything.
Sara quickly noticed how many new followers were asking her the same question: Do you have OnlyFans?
After doing a little research, she decided to give OnlyFans a shot. Fast forward to Summer 2020, Sara made $7,000 in one weekend on the content subscription service. At this point – and with her husband Matt’s blessing – she was all in.
In a story detailed on The Daily Beast, Sara explained that during the same time as this newfound success, her sons and daughter enrolled in the Pinecrest Pilots’ Youth Football and Cheerleading program in Lithia, Florida.
As Ozzy would say, “Let the madness begin.”
When members of the Pinecrest organization added Sara on their socials, she noticed more and more parents following her on Instagram. That’s when she realized, “everybody knows.”
Soon, Sara and Matt were targeted because of her profession. But it didn’t stop there. Their children were harassed to the point of Sara pulling their 7-year-old daughter from cheerleading and their 4-year-old son being cut from the football team. Matt was still coaching their 6-year-old son in football – until one event that “broke the camel’s back.” One of the other coaches forcefully confronted Matt, saying, “Your wife is a ho… this is why none of us want you here.”
As traumatic as the situation with Pinecrest was, the family has moved on. Sara is currently kicking ass on OnlyFans – one report says she’s raking in $30,000 a month.
Sara sums it up best: “If people knew my heart, and they had the opportunity to meet me and give me a chance, they would see that I’m someone who’s just doing everything I could to give my kids an amazing life.”
Rock Confidential caught up with Sara Cheek to talk about how her life has changed since discovering OnlyFans. We also talk about her favorite music, her words of advice, and how she thinks we can make the world a better place.
Let’s go back to 2019. What was your social media content like then?
So, in 2019 my social media content was full of me in bikinis – but instead of the focal point being on my rack, it was my belly! I was pregnant with my fourth kid and enjoying the beach as we had just moved to Florida.
Tell me about the viral TikTok that started you on this surprise journey.
In 2020, I was in a hotel with my son in Clearwater Beach. We lived in a hotel because our home had flooded. We were dancing around to “Fantasy” by Mariah Carey. That video hit 50,000 views within hours. I think I was wearing my famous Daisy Dukes with the pockets. That honestly is where the popularity of those shorts started! Almost immediately I saw my Instagram go from 800 followers to 5,000 within that weekend. That same day I was asked if I had an OnlyFans by almost everybody that followed me. I had no idea what an OnlyFans was, and after finding out, I was like, “Oh hell yeah! I can make money from posting sexier pictures?”
How did your husband react to your newfound celebrity?
I had explained to Matt that there was a site where I could post provocative images and people subscribe to it. We both started with zero expectations and just an implied image.
During the summer of 2020 you made $7,000 in one weekend. That had to be a life-changing realization of what was possible.
After hitting $7,000 that weekend, Matt was like “Do your thing!” He has always been extremely supportive in everything I do. And it wasn’t such an extreme change because I’ve always been a “sexier” mom, which he’s very proud of.
Did you ever consider stepping away from OnlyFans because of the drama with Pinecrest or did it push you to go harder?
I knew going into this that it was going to be public and out in the open because our family has always been the center of attention almost everywhere. We are just super exciting, always have something going on, and very outgoing. We literally have never been a stereotypical normal family and because of my sexier look, I was already used to not being accepted at the PTA or by other moms. The thought of making a shitload of money while still enduring the same looks motivated me. And after everything with Pinecrest went down, it only added gasoline to the fire that was already burning. The thought of stepping away wasn’t an option because I was already being presented with opportunities in the modeling community and was able to spend my time devoted to my family while supporting them.
How has your life changed since starting OnlyFans? Aside from the aforementioned experiences with your children, what’s been the biggest challenge?
Since starting my OnlyFans, I’ve started a career in the modeling/entertainment world. I went from doing just this to having my first publication be a cover. I am now a published cover model! We also are in early stages of some pretty exciting things that’ll be coming up. But with the newfound success in modeling comes good and bad as well. Some of these girls work incredibly hard to gain publications, and there are also models who want to protect being a top model. I went to a photoshoot in Aruba and had a very popular model pay a hacker to shut my Instagram account down. Girls are vicious! That is why only the strong survive.
If you were to name a few simple things in life you enjoy, what would they be?
Ah! The simple things in life. I think anybody would agree – driving with your windows down and blasting music is one of the most freeing feelings ever! If you ever catch me out, that is what you’ll see me doing.
What are the best words of advice you can give someone?
My biggest piece of advice to anyone is to think about the end of your life. When you are on your death bed, will the house you lived in, the car you drove, the friends you had, the accomplishments you made, be fulfilling? Do everything you want, don’t keep up with the Joneses because at the end of the day the Joneses don’t give a fuck about you or the new Suburban you drive.
How can we make the world a better place?
The world becomes a better place when people can learn to accept what they don’t understand. This applies to gay marriage, transgenders, moms that like to have sex with their husbands and have others pay to watch on their OnlyFans, or people who think one way politically versus the other. Just because you don’t understand someone or the choices they make, does not mean that human is wrong or should have to do everything the way you think.
What is the biggest misconception people have about you?
There are so many misconceptions when it comes to me or what others choose to think. Most commonly, I’m blonde and have big boobs so I’ve got to be really stupid or slutty. Truth is, I’m only slutty for my husband! (laughs) But, there’s also the “she’s doing this for attention” or “she must be insecure.” Truth is, I make money doing this and it’s how I support my family. Girls who are sexy aren’t always begging for attention and there are some of us who are very bold and secure or else we wouldn’t put ourselves out there for Karen to comment on the two centimeters of cellulite on our thighs in a TikTok!
What are some of your favorite movies?
My favorite movie is Top Gun. I begged my husband to let me name one of our sons Maverick!
What music have you been listening to lately?
The majority of music I listen to right now is influenced by what my sons beg me to play while I’m there hockey chauffeur. They love Imagine Dragons and Fall Out Boy. My Pandora is typically on Chris Cornell radio or Morgan Wallen and if I’m feeling like a badass, Lil Wayne radio.
Please tell us some of your favorite bands and songs from each.
My husband really introduced me to Chris Cornell and Layne Staley after he knew I loved STP.
My top 5 favorite rock songs are:
“Say Hello to Heaven” – Temple Of The Dog
“My Girl” – Nirvana
“Like A Stone” – Audioslave
“Why Can’t This Be Love” – Van Halen
“Love Bites” – Def Leppard
What was the first album you bought with your own money growing up?
The first album I bought with my very own money… Oh gosh, this is funny. It was Mase, Harlem World.
What are some of your favorite song lyrics?
I actually have my favorite song lyrics tattooed on me: “To thine own self be true” from Reba’s song “Fancy.”
What was the last concert you attended?
The last concert I went to was Nelly and Juvenile and I was front row. I tried throwing my bra up on stage and Matt grabbed it cause, “That’s Victoria secret, I know how expensive those bras are!”
What was your very first concert?
My first concert ever was Hanson. My mom took me out of school that day and my note said I had an appointment, but I had to tell everyone that wasn’t true and I was actually going to go see Hanson. I was in love with Taylor!
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the decision I have made in who I chose as a husband. When you marry someone who knows exactly who you are and why you are the way you are, the support you get to genuinely be yourself is something most people never experience. It also allows you to pursue your dreams without hesitation, be unapologetically yourself at all times, and truly have a best friend. The most important thing to me is that I am always myself to my kids, my friends, and the rest of the world.
