Hollywood Undead Release Video For ‘We Own The Night’

The number five holds a deep significance. For the five members of Hollywood Undead the digit perfectly encapsulates their fifth full-length offering, ‘Five,’ out October 27.

Hollywood Undead have just released “We Own The Night,” the fourth track/video from their upcoming album Five.

The number five holds a deep significance. We have five senses. Five points adorn a star. Five represents man in theology. For the five members of Hollywood Undead — Johnny 3 Tears, J-Dog, Charlie Scene, Funny Man, and Danny — the digit perfectly encapsulates their fifth full-length offering, out October 27. Fans can pre-order the new album here.

“We’re five brothers, and this is our fifth record,” affirms Johnny 3 Tears. “Nothing gets to the essence of the music like this number does. Numerology has a lot of power. When we said Five, it just made sense. The fact that we could all agree on one word codifies who we are. It also nods back to ‘No. 5’ from our first album, because it was our fifth song. Moreover, it hints at this secret society of fans supporting us for the past decade. The number is significant, and this is a significant moment for us.”

The band is currently in the middle of a North American tour in support of Five. Tickets and VIP Packages for all shows are on sale now. For all U.S. headline shows, Butcher Babies will serve as direct support. European dates will begin on January 24 in Glasgow, UK at the O2 Academy.

Granny 4 Barrel Releases Anthemic ‘Freak Flag’ Video

Produced by Jeff Tomei and issued via Mighty Loud Records, further singles will be arriving in the coming months including “Nitro Sexy,” “She Likes Guns” and “Piledriver.”

Who is this matriarch of metal named Granny 4 Barrel?

“Granny is an alter-ego character, an amalgam of contradictions, a dichotomy of old and feeble meets youth, power and vigor,” explains the singer of Granny 4 Barrel, who goes by the name Granny. “She represents freedom of expression, no limits on a person, and I channel her rage and insanity. In society, there are these stereotypes based on age, sex, race etc. Granny just shatters the mold! Her mantra is unleash your true self…make your own rules, anything is possible. The first song released to radio is ‘Freak Flag,’ that’s the theme of the song – ‘Be true to yourself…let your freak flag fly.”

It’s been far too long since the likes of Alice Cooper, Ziggy Stardust/David Bowie, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson shocked and rocked their way up the charts and into arenas. Finally, the rock world has their next band that combines hard-hitting rock and theatrics – Granny 4 Barrel – who has unveiled the first in a series of singles, “Freak Flag.”

During the filming of the “Freak Flag” video, Granny noted: “We’re shooting here in Nashville, the director’s name is John Billings, and we put a casting call out for eccentric people, who wanted to be a part of a rock video, people who were not afraid to express themselves, people who felt they have a certain look or talent that makes them unique. We shot in this old church yesterday. We had a crowd of people – there was a ton of energy in the room and everyone looked amazing. What makes the video extra special is that these are just real people looking the way they look and doing the things that they do every day!”

The ‘Freak Flag’ single is available for purchase here.

Produced by Jeff Tomei (whose previous credits include working with Jerry Cantrell, Smashing Pumpkins, and Matchbox Twenty, among others) and issued via Mighty Loud Records (and distributed by InGrooves/Universal), further singles will be arriving in the coming months. This will include “Nitro Sexy” (“basically, the two words describe it – “speed and sex”), “She Likes Guns” (“it’s got innuendo, and a sexy vibe’”), and “Piledriver” (“about a villainess femme fatale…a common theme on the record”).

Lastly, is the Granny 4 Barrel live experience, which is like no other rock artist. “They’re going to see shock rock at its finest. It’s a heavy band, with a horror vibe and strong hooks, it’s visual eye candy, and if you’re into the sounds of metal bands, industrial bands, and violin mixed with theatrics then this band is for you.”

Be prepared to be shocked and rocked, by Granny 4 Barrel.

Watch Junkyard’s ‘Cut From The Same Cloth’ Video

Junkyard’s third full length studio album, High Water made huge waves upon release, selling out of initial pressings and cracking Billboard‘s Top 25 Hard Rock Album Sales Chart.

Fans and critic’s agree High Water, the band’s first album in full length 26 years, is among the strongest rock records released in 2017. Just as festival and club dates in the UK and US wrapped in August, Little Steven’s Underground Garage snagged the first single, “Faded” as the Coolest Song in the World (week of Sept. 17).

Deep Purple Set Sail With Animated Video For ‘The Surprising’

The animated masterpiece follows the five heroes of our story – Ian Gillan, Ian Paice, Roger Glover, Don Airey, and Steve Morse – through a stormy ship cruise full of allusions and sees them riding off into the sunset.

Deep Purple are setting sail into new waters with their first-ever animated video.

The official video for “The Surprising,” one of the fan favorite tracks from the internationally successful album inFinite, takes the viewer on a journey through the magical 50-year history of the band. With high attention to detail, the animated masterpiece follows the five heroes of our story – Ian Gillan, Ian Paice, Roger Glover, Don Airey, and Steve Morse – through a stormy ship cruise full of allusions and sees them riding off into the sunset.

The video was directed and illustrated by Matt Rooke, alongside director Peter Rogers, who also produced the video together with Craig Hooper and Collin Games, known from the Deep Purple movie documentary From Here To inFinite.

Deep Purple and earMUSIC also announce the release of the 97-minute documentary From Here To inFinite, which is due out in November 2017. It shows the history and origin of inFinite and provides a deep insight into the workings of the band for the first time on Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray further includes two hours of bonus material, including music videos such as “The Surprising,” three previously unreleased live videos (“Time For Bedlam,” “Birds Of Prey,” and “Smoke On The Water”), all filmed and recorded at Hellfest 2017, as well as in-depth behind the scenes footage, movie documentary outtakes, interviews, and an audio commentary by Deep Purple themselves — all previously unreleased.

In conjunction with the release of the Blu-ray, Deep Purple and earMUSIC are also releasing The infinite Live Recorings, Pt. 1 on a special 3-disc vinyl LP, produced by Bob Ezrin. This was recorded at Hellfest 2017, the biggest metal festival in France and contains a brand new previously unreleased 80 minute live performance.
