Watch Jason Isbell’s ‘Cumberland Gap’ On ‘CBS This Morning’

Alabama native Jason Isbell returned to the small screen for a segment on CBS This Morning.

“Cumberland Gap,” the first of the three songs the band played, is a pointed commentary on the life of an Appalachian coal miner trapped in and let down by his world.

Formed in 2008, the band Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit have just released their latest album, The Nashville Sound, which critics are calling “one of the best of the year.”
