Firewind’s Gus G. checked in with the following comment about the track and its video: “As many of you have found out by now, our new album Immortals is a concept and focusing on the battles of Thermopylae and Salamis. The song “Ode To Leonidas” is obviously about the legendary warrior King of Sparta and his heroic battle with his 300 brave men against the massive Persian army invaders.

“For the production of the clip we traveled to Belgrade, Serbia and filmed with iCode team (same team that directed my solo video “The Quest” and so many other great bands) and we’re really amazed by the end result. It’s truly epic! We hope you will enjoy too. Heavy Metal fans – unite!”

Said The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins: “‘Happiness’ is about seeing only the golden sand and overlooking the broken glass. Hearing the waves crash and filtering out the grotesque cries of mating gulls. Smelling the distant odor of fresh chips and ignoring the stench of nearby dog shit. Happiness is a choice. Choose The Darkness.”

“Happiness” is taken from The Darkness’s latest album, Pinewood Smile, which came out on October 6. Liv Sin Releases ‘King Of The Damned’ Video

The track is a call to action for the public to do something about the extinction of the world’s wildlife.

Liv Sin, the new band led by former Sister Sin vocalist Liv “Sin” Jagrell, has released the official music video for a new song called “King Of The Damned.” The track is a call to action for the public to do something about the extinction of the world’s wildlife. The band has chosen to work with the Swedish animal rights organization Djurens Rätt during the single campaign.

“For me, this song is a call to action to everyone that we as humans will soon extinguish all of the world’s wildlife,” Liv says. “And we need to take action immediately otherwise there will be nothing left.

“I got the inspiration to the lyrics from Nick Brandt’s exhibition ‘Inherit The Dust’ (a photo exhibition where Brandt revisited places where he used to take pictures of the wildlife, and how its landscapes are now of garbage and people living in the garbage) and the shooting of Cecil The Lion. For me, both of those events are extremely depressing and not very flattering for mankind. Unfortunately, that’s the way we are heading if we do nothing.

“Remember Lion King? Well, soon there is not going to be any ‘King of the Jungle’ left, they will be ‘King of the Damned’ instead.

She continues: “I wish that everyone would take a minute to just think about it, about how we are treating our world.

“We chose to cooperate with a Swedish animal rights organization called Djurens Rätt on this song. All of the profits of this song from our Bandcamp site will go to them. You can also donate through PayPal at info@despotz.se.”

Liv Sin’s debut album, Follow Me, was released in April via the Swedish label Despotz Records.

The clip, which was directed by Jeremy Danger and Travis Shinn, arrives as the band is in the final two weeks of its North American tour. A Perfect Circle also recently announced its first European tour in 14 years.

Upon arrival of “The Doomed,” singer Maynard James Keenan said: “Fourteen years have passed since we released eMOTIVe. A new release is long overdue.
