Rob Zombie To Direct Sequel To ‘The Devil’s Rejects’

Given the finality of the way the original ended, the upcoming film is speculated to be another spinoff or possibly a prequel.

According to Bloody Disgusting, Rob Zombie is directing a sequel to The Devil’s Rejects, the 2005 spinoff of his directorial debut, House Of 1,000 Corpses (2003).

Given the finality of the way the original ended, a true sequel seems unlikely. Therefore, the site speculates it will be another spinoff or possibly a prequel, being that the the murderous Firefly family from The Devil’s Rejects is presumed dead.

Rob has made no secret of his interest in making another movie based on the characters from The Devil’s Rejects. He told Fangoria Legends in a 2014 interview: “I’ve always thought I’d like to make another movie, because I love the characters, and I have an idea I think is solid for a third one — an idea that would make sense. The problem is I don’t own the characters now. They’re owned by Lionsgate, and they just don’t have any desire to do anything. So it isn’t me not doing it because I don’t want to; I don’t have the ability to get it done.”

A musician, filmmaker, and author, Rob Zombie has directed seven feature films, including the recent 31, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival, and The Lords Of Salem, which premiered at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival. His other directing credits include the 2007 re-imagining of John Carpenter’s Halloween, plus its sequel, Halloween 2. Rob Zombie also developed his own comic book series into an R-rated animated feature, The Haunted World Of El Superbeasto.

“Our team is filled with massive Iron Maiden fans and Eddie was both our first choice and a natural fit in ‘Angry Birds Evolution’,” said Miika Tams, VP games and product lead for “Angry Birds Evolution.” “It’s about time his status as a true rock icon was celebrated and we know that fans will love seeing Eddie The Bird raise hell on Bird Island!”

Players can crank up their “Angry Birds Evolution” team on October 18 during a special two-week character event for the most metal Halloween ever! Players who successfully recruit Eddie The Bird to their team during that time will be able to keep him forever.

“When you get a call from Rovio, one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world, confessing that they are Maiden fans and want to celebrate Halloween with Eddie, you just have to take notice,” said Llexi Leon, interactive creative director at Phantom Music Management. “They have outdone themselves with this incredible tribute to Maiden and the opportunity to share the band’s music with their millions of players around the world. I really can’t wait to play him and skittle those pigs!”

To celebrate Eddie The Bird’s arrival in a big way, there will be four evolutions of the character to represent different albums from Iron Maiden’s storied history. In addition, the Bird Island will be transformed into a Halloween-themed heavy metal oasis with a land full of hair-raising and loving tributes to Eddie, Iron Maiden and the heavy metal universe.

While Carrington is no stranger to recorded success – with nine successful albums to his credit, it’s on stage where the performer truly shines, ranking as one of the top-grossing comedians in America, according to Pollstar. Carrington – who has over one million followers via social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter – will be on tour heavily to promote the new release, with one of the highlights of his itinerary being a ten-night stint at the David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino December 7 – 16 during the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Long a fan favorite during the event, Carrington has brought his entertaining style to attendees for well over a decade.

That exposure led to him becoming one of the most sought-after comedians on the live comedy circuit. In 1998, he released his debut album, Hangin’ With Rodney, which led to a successful string of albums, including Rodney Carrington Live, Nut Sack, and Morning Wood, which was certified Gold for sales of 500,000 copies – a rare occurrence for a comedian in the 2000s. He has also brought his considerable talents to the big screen, appearing with Toby Keith in Beer For My Horses, and his own ABC-TV sitcom, appropriately titled Rodney, which ran for two successful seasons.

In the latest music edition of The Fine Brothers’ “Kids React” series, a group of kids, ages 7 to 13, react to clips of legendary heavy metal band, Mötley Crüe, performing some of their biggest hits, including “Looks That Kill,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and more.

Things kick off with “Looks That Kill,” and the over the top theatricality throws the kids for a loop immediately. They’re unable to tell whether or not Vince Neil is a boy or a girl, one kid going so far as to saying they look like a “rip off KISS.”

Always funny. Sometimes a little depressing! Definitely worth watching.
