Exclusive Interview: Britney Amber
Britney Amber might be one of the sexiest and most booked girls in the industry. She’s a California-born, blonde vixen who worked at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch before entering the industry four years ago. Within that time she’s done more than many other performers who have been in the biz for years. Britney has graced the covers of Hustler, Club International, Club Confidential, Penthouse Letters, Club and Swank magazines, and has appeared in over 250 scenes for the top studios in the industry. Britney has achieved mainstream success with feature appearances on HBO’s “Cathouse” series, G4TV and HBO Canada’s “The Right Hand” from Immoral Productions set to air this September.
I caught up with Britney to see what she’s been into and find out where she’s going with her successful porn career.
Let’s start off by finding out what you were like when you were younger.
I was busted for being drunk in public when I was 14. I don’t know what I was thinking. I went to my friend’s house – the bad influence when I was growing up – and her parents had a full liquor cabinet. She made me try everything before I could leave. She took everything and poured it into a coffee mug and told me to drink it really quick. She didn’t even do it! I just pounded the whole thing really quick. I got expelled twice. I don’t really feel like I was a bad kid – just misguided. I don’t know. I hung around the wrong people I guess!
Doing things like that will make you grow up really fast! Do you remember when you first became comfortable with your sexuality?
I remember I was four the first time I tried to masturbate! I didn’t have an orgasm until I was 11. I got this Baby Alive doll I had been begging for all year and somehow I ended up humping it! I got this really big stuffed Shamu. It was almost as big as I was. I remember sitting on it in my room. I wasn’t even trying to masturbate. I was sitting on the dorsal fin and I realized it felt really good! I had an orgasm right there – really quick! That led to me finding all different kinds of ways to masturbate and getting really creative. That’s all I thought about when I was younger! It was crazy!
Do you remember the first time you saw porn or any adult material?
It was when I just turned five. My friend’s dad always had pictures of girls in bikinis and boxes of porn and magazines everywhere. They weren’t hidden very well – especially the magazines. We would look through the magazines but not in a sexual way. We’d say “I wanna be like her” and point out all the pretty girls. I don’t remember the first time I saw a video, though. My dad didn’t have an extensive collection like my friend’s dad but he didn’t keep his stuff hidden either. My room was pretty much a closet and he would hide his stuff on the top shelf. Now I can’t even watch boy/girl porn. It’s just so boring to me. It’s just not as exciting as it was back then. Remember you used to think “Oh my god, this is so awesome!”
Watching “Cathouse” on HBO made you interested in joining the adult business, right?
Right. I was married at the time. I knew when I was a kid that I wanted to be a porn star. I was always interested in it but had no idea how to get into anything. I started watching “Cathouse” with my husband and I really got into it. The girls were having so much fun and making so much money. I knew I had to do it. It took a while to convince my husband to let me do it but I found Cathouse on MySpace. I was pretty much over my marriage anyway. They got back to me on MySpace in two or three days with a phone number and said I could come out with no obligation. They even paid for my flight and I knew that’s what I wanted to do.
And after a year doing that you got into porn.
Yes. There were a few girls I worked with that were in the industry already. One girl gave me her agent’s number and the rest is history!
How do you remember your first year in porn?
Well, the first agent I was with for only a few weeks. He was horrible. He tricked me into doing things I didn’t even agree to. He lied to me and told me if I didn’t do certain things it would make me look bad. He said he would pass word around that I was difficult and wouldn’t cooperate. I was 21 and had no idea. I didn’t really know anyone in the business. I met Shy Love on a Hustler set and she said “You’re mine!” So I started working with her. I’ve been with her ever since. It took a while to learn everything. There’s no Porn Star Boot Camp, you know? I didn’t know if I was good enough or not. Once I got to know people and learned what I was doing I really started liking it.
I’ve talked about that with Shy before. It really is important to her to help new girls make the right decisions.
That’s why she started her agency. She is such a good agent, too. She’s really out to protect the girls. I feel really good with her.
How do you feel about your career? How far ahead are you looking?
I want to take it as far as I can. I’m trying to do everything I can to ensure my longevity in this business. I’m working with Erika Icon at The Rub PR, pushing my website, started acting classes, I work out all the time. I feel like my whole life is centered around making my career last as long as it can. I’m really motivated so it doesn’t seem hard. I want to do the best I can.
I wish you all the best Britney! What would you like to say to your fans to wrap everything up?
