How many guitars do you own?
I’ve really lost count. Last time my tech In Alice Cooper did inventory there were 83…I think I’ve gotten a few more since then
Les Paul. I change the ‘Main’ one all the time. In Coop it was a 74 Tobacco LP
What was your first guitar? Do you still own it?
It was a LP copy…It’s around somewhere!
Who are some of the people that inspired you to play guitar?
Queen and Kiss. My parents had all the records – yes, records!
What makes your effects so essential?
I don’t really use effects. I forget to turn them off too much! Simple and effective…
How has your gear changed over the years?
It really hasn’t. I’m playing the same stuff I have for 20 years!
What equipment do you prefer live and in the studio?
A Les Paul and Marshall. It’s all you need for ROQ!
How would you describe your relationship with your guitars?
Wood with strings. Really, that’s it…
Does any guitar have more of an emotional attachment than the rest?
No, you just get used to looking down and seeing the color. Live I don’t want to think about anything but the ‘show’ so I don’t even want to know what guitar I’m playing. I know its the right one…
