Hearts and minds-and, it goes without saying, eardrums – were blown this morning as the world’s biggest exporter of undiluted American stadium rock, Foo Fighters, surprise-released “Run,” a monolithic song of the summer shoo-in as melodic as it is monstrously heavy.

An ageless melodic hard rock anthem that showcases everything that’s made Foo Fighters an unstoppable road and radio conquering machine, “Run” is the first new Foo Fighters music since the band gifted fans with the free Saint Cecilia EP in late 2015.

“Run” is accompanied by a time-traveling mind-warp of a video directed by the band’s own Dave Grohl, in which the song’s dive-bombing verses and soaring choruses are matched by an insane performance from the band as you’ve never seen them before, playing for an audience you’d never imagine. All told, the “Run” video is as much a must-see as the song is an instant Foo Fighters classic, both boldly looking into the band’s future while building on the rock-solid Foo Fighters foundation.

Revolution Saints Release ‘I Wouldn’t Change A Thing’ Video

The song is from the band’s highly anticipated second album, Light In The Dark, out October 13 via Frontiers Music srl.

Revolution Saints – Deen Castronovo (ex-Journey, Bad English), Doug Aldrich (The Dead Daisies, ex-Whitesnake, Dio), Jack Blades (Night Ranger, Damn Yankees) – released the third video, “I Wouldn’t Change A Thing,” from their highly anticipated second album, Light In The Dark.

It was directed by Maurizio Del Piccolo of Moviedel, and it was shot at Villa Bossi in Bodio Lomnago, Varese, Italy.

“I Wouldn’t Change A Thing” was originally written by Richard Page from Mr. Mister,” says Castronovo, “and Serafino wanted us to do it our way. The first time I heard it, I got a bit choked up. It’s a beautiful ballad that Doug got a hold of and put his stamp on it.”

“The song was filmed at magnificent historic home outside of Milano, Italy,” Aldrich continues. “It was a rainy day and really had a great vibe for the video. We spent most of the day going for the basic shots and the actors did the love scenes later. There was some steamy stuff going on in the script and I decided it was a bit too racy for me, so I decided to help the chef with his pesto sauce! It is a beautiful song and a nice video. I was very happy about how the solo guitar worked and Deen just shines!”

Light In The Dark is due out October 13 on Frontiers Music Srl, and will be available on CD, CD/DVD Deluxe Edition (includes live bonus tracks on the CD and on the DVD, footage from the band’s first-ever live performance captured at Frontiers Rock Festival in Milan this past April, a “Making Of” mini-documentary, and music videos for “Light In The Dark” and “I Wouldn’t Change A Thing”), Vinyl, and as a special Limited Edition Box Set (includes the Deluxe Edition CD/DVD, 180g Vinyl, T-shirt (size L), poster, lithograph and sticker).

“Lilith,” the new video from Butcher Babies, is the title track of the band’s third album which will be released on October 27 via Century Media.

Speaking about the unique pre-order packages for Lilith, vocalist Carla Harvey comments: “In anticipation of Lilith, we wanted to offer unique pre-sale bundles that are special to us. Not only do we have the album, limited edition vinyl, and t-shirts up for grabs, but we are also offering limited edition items curated by myself and Heidi. One such item is a gorgeous lyric book for Lilith featuring never before seen illustrations by me and graphics by Heidi. Another item is our signature Lilith pendant, a darling necklace handcrafted by us for our Butcher Army. You can find all the details on our pre-order site www.ButcherBabiesOfficial.com“.

Fans that pre-order Lilith will also receive the album’s title track as an Instant Grat. Speaking about the first offering from their new album, vocalist Heidi Shepherd states: “After a year of writing and recording we are thrilled with the growth and maturity of this album. Leading with our title track ‘Lilith,’ the artistic development within the band shines. We worked with producer, Steve Evetts to bring you the rawest form of Butcher Babies. No auto-tune, 100% real drums, real guitars, real bass, and an all out Butcher Babies assault on your senses. As we know in this industry, these standards are quickly replaced by machines and can eliminate what makes a band an actual band. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication that each member of our team put in to create this masterpiece.”

Butcher Babies will make their much awaited return to the road in North America alongside Hollywood Undead as part of a two month run in the states. With shows already sold out in Hollywood, Des Moines, St. Louis, and Madison, WI, fans can find a complete list of dates below.

Watch Ded’s Video For ‘Remember The Enemy’

“Remember The Enemy” is the follow up to “Anti-Everything” which reached the Top 20 at rock radio and whose video has surpassed one million views on YouTube.

Published

on

Ded have released the official music video for the song “Remember The Enemy.” The group reunited with video director Fred Durst for this latest clip, which finds them performing against a lit-up forested backdrop, while clear-eyed vocalist Joe Cotela also makes the most of a cage setting to set the tone for the clip. As for the song, it’s plenty of low end heaviness offset by electronic high-end keys, making for an engaging and hard driving rock track that’s guaranteed to stick in your head for days.

Speaking about the track, Cotela explains: “‘Remember The Enemy’ is a song about self-reflection. A couple years ago I started defeating myself with anxiety and depression. I was taking a lot of Xanax and medicating heavily with booze. It was at some point in there that I realized that I am in control of all of this. My brain and my thoughts only exist in ways that I allow them to. A great quote I came across summed it up: ‘The difference between who you are and who you want to be is what you do.'”

He continues: “I started going to cognitive therapy. I had to stop what I was doing, honestly look at myself and pick my ass up! I got mad at the anxiety/depression, I made it my ‘enemy.’ I had to beat the shit out of it and stomp it out. I was in my own way, my own worst enemy. It hasn’t completely gone away, it still rears its ugly fucking face at times — but now I know what the fucker looks like and how to deal with it.”

As for the Durst-directed clip, the singer states: “We shot the video for ‘Remember The Enemy’ in Griffith Park at the old abandoned Los Angeles Zoo that was opened in 1912 and closed in 1965. That area has turned into a hidden park/hiking destination. It is an eerie setting and is supposed to be haunted by the animals that were once imprisoned there in such obsolete, harsh conditions. We really went for a dark, nightmarish horror movie vibe, and we think we achieved that. As a side note — the scene from the Will Ferrell Anchorman movie where they fall into the bear pit was also shot there. We hope fans enjoy ‘Remember The Enemy’!”

“Remember The Enemy” is the follow up to “Anti-Everything” which reached the Top 20 at rock radio and whose Durst-directed video has surpassed one million views on YouTube.

Ded’s debut album, Misanthrope, was released in July via Suretone Records.
