Raised in the Midwest in a household of strong women, Jillian Janson was never shy about her sexuality. Growing up in a conservative area where anything sexual was ignored, Janson found her lusty urges frowned upon.
Exploring her budding sexuality, and loving every minute of it, Janson pushed on through her teenage years feeling awkward in her skin for wanting to express herself creatively and sexually.
While still in high school, Janson began webcam modeling at the age of 18. Within days of posing nude online, she flew to Los Angeles to start making adult films and pursue her need for self-expression.
Janson has worked with every major studio and graced the pages of magazines like Penthouse and Club International. When she is not shooting hardcore scenes, Janson takes her sexy moves on the road, feature dancing at clubs across the country.
As she rocks the world of adult entertainment, Jillian Janson wants you to know she is the starlet to watch!
It’s great to catch up with you Jillian! How are things going?
I’m incredible! I absolutely have no regrets or complaints! My life is moving at the perfect pace and everything is wonderfully falling into place. I’ve done a lot of traveling. Over the last two years I’ve headlined at a few of the top strip clubs in the states such as New York, Las Vegas, and my own city of LA. It’s such a huge passion for me and it’s not much of a distraction from being able to handle all the other things I do such as planning my own productions!
You recognized early on that you wanted to work in Adult, even before becoming a senior in high school, right? When did you first become comfortable with your sexuality and how did that lead to your career decision?
Well you can say that, but not necessarily. I always knew I was sexual and watched films growing up, but I didn’t connect the two or realize it was the best thing for me until a couple days into performing my first few videos. My confidence on set shined through. Not only companies but fans were seeing how much I enjoyed what I was doing. I was comfortable with myself at age 13, but whether people in my environment were comfortable is a different story. With name calling and such in school it didn’t really encourage me to be comfortable, but the instant I got out of that hell hole I knew who I was.
Do you remember the first time you saw porn or any adult material? What was your initial reaction?
I found out what sex toys were before I even knew what porn was. Now that you’re refreshing my memory I happened to look in my mother’s closet, found a box of toys, and inside was a DVD. I popped it in the player and instantly felt mesmerized. I couldn’t name the girl to this day, but she turned me on so much and I couldn’t stop masturbating. Eventually I realized I no longer needed the movie to get me off, but instances at school or in public with sexy strangers turned me on more.
Did you have any misconceptions about the porn industry before you started? How do you remember your very first year in adult?
No not really. I just wanted to go with the flow and learn the industry inside and out before I started having any insight. I’ve been in long enough to know the ups and downs, but regardless of those I absolutely love my career and this industry is extremely educational. It was incredible learning all the things I did when I first began, especially since the first year was so intense being fresh out of high school, curious, and extremely motivated for experience. I was booked up months solid before unfortunately a relationship ruined my motivation, but as I mentioned lessons were learned and I moved on to create an even better career for myself. I realized that I’d rather stay single and independent which keeps me on my grind. I plan to fall in love some day, but for now I’m staying away. My second year was better and my third honestly has been the most life changing!
If you were to write your ultimate fantasy as a sex scene, how would it go?
Unfortunately for you I don’t want to ruin any ideas or fantasies I have in my head for my own scripts, because I officially have my own company (although nothing will be released for a while), but I can tell you that a lot of my fantasies right now include women!
What about your career is most appealing? What’s been the biggest challenge as you’ve grown your career?
I’ve not only learned a lot about myself, but other people and understanding what they like, why they like it, and how they like it. When it comes to sex, whether anyone wants to admit it or not it’s always on our mind. I learned that my mind in a sense is like a man, when a woman walks by I will focus on which parts of her I like the most and my imagination will go off. This industry has allowed me to accept that I can be anything and it gave me the confidence to achieve everything. Any idea or thought I have I learned to act on them no matter how ridiculous they look or sound, there is always someone that finds the beauty in something you don’t.
What are your thoughts on tube sites?
Honestly, it’s how I started the industry. I definitely wouldn’t be here without them considering how curious I was. But now that I have been in the industry, I know how difficult it is for companies and how tubes sites have really impacted their business models. Then I came to the conclusion that the work I could potentially get would be affected in a way too, so immediately I stopped watching tube sites. Right after I learned descriptively how to eat pussy by Nina Hartley, Seymour Butts, and Ron Jeremy.
What was your first concert? Who have you seen most recently?
My first memorable concert involved with my friends happened to be in Minnesota at the State Fair when Mac Miller, Big K.R.I.T, and Wiz Khalifa performed. It was an amazing experience, but now that I’m older concerts are much for fun. I’ve been to a few festivals over the last few years such as Escape, White Wonderland, and EDC. I don’t have any favorites when it comes to festivals, but I love electronic and my body flows with the beat effortlessly. I’m sure in the future Burning Man will be crossed off my bucket list!
What was the first album you bought with your own money when you were younger?
Wow you’re really making me have to dig through my memories. (laughs) Oh I got it, but it wasn’t even an album. It happened to be these things called “Hit Clips.” I would go out and buy a bunch of these between Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, and so on until I had all the big artists of the 90s!
Who do you listen to if you just want to rock out?
I’m starting to give everyone access to my favorite playlist on an app called www.8tracks.com. It’s the best place to find your favorite genre, mood, or artist and mix them into an amazing list. Thanks to this app I don’t usually have a favorite song, because it produces so many great remixes however at the moment I’m a bit obsessed with the song “Closer” by The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey.
What are some things in your life you are most proud of?
My humble, understanding, and positive personality. I am proud of who I AM, not what I have.
Thank you Jillian! What would you like to say to your fans to wrap things up?
I couldn’t thank everyone enough for all the support, advice, or compliments that have been given to me over the years. It truly helps receiving feedback that helps you want to better your career and aim for success. Looks don’t matter to me, it’s what you do with your life and how you treat people. So what you have on the inside is what matters the most. I’ve been nothing but sincere from my heart and it makes me so appreciative of anyone that tells me I’ve helped them in anyway whether it’s getting over someone get over something or watching my videos to help a relationship. It doesn’t matter what I look like on the outside even if I happen to be attractive, I will always stay true to what’s on the inside.
